About the Role: Technical Program Manager, Prime Tech

As a Technical Program Manager on the Prime Tech team, you’ll serve as the critical link between product owners and development teams. Your day-to-day will involve decomposing complex requirements into executable technical plans, tracking progress across multiple development teams, and reporting status to product, business development, and technical leadership. You’ll own engagement with partners across the company and help drive innovative solutions that meet business goals without compromising customer experience.

This position requires someone who can operate comfortably at both a strategic and tactical level — one moment defining user stories and evaluating technical trade-offs, the next representing the technical team to senior leadership. Benefits and Salary

The base salary range for this position is $97,600 to $163,000 CAD annually for Vancouver, BC. Amazon’s total compensation package may also include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), with final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and location. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life and AD&D), a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and additional resources to support health and well-being.

Responsibilities

The Technical Program Manager role at Amazon Prime Tech is dynamic and spans everything from technical execution to stakeholder communication.   • Drive smart trade-offs to ship software without compromising customer experience or business relevance
  • Evangelize across teams by building relationships, identifying reusable components and technologies, and helping deliver on program goals
  • Represent the technical team to senior leadership across Amazon’s organization

Requirements / Skills

The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in both technical program management and software development, with a proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives.   • 3+ years of technical product or program management experience leading large-scale initiatives
  • 2+ years of software development experience, providing the technical credibility needed to work effectively with engineering teams

  • Cross-functional program management experience including building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • 3+ years working directly with engineering teams (preferred) to translate business requirements into technical execution plans
