Supervisor – Canadian Tire – Brampton, ON

Canadian Tire Corporation is looking for an experienced Supervisor to join the team at their AJ Billes Distribution Centre in Brampton, Ontario. This is a hands-on leadership role within a fast-paced distribution environment, where you’ll be the critical link between frontline employees and management — keeping operations running smoothly on the night shift.

About the Role: Distribution Supervisor

As a Supervisor at Canadian Tire’s Distribution Centre, you’ll be accountable for leading a team of frontline employees through every shift. That means managing labour allocation, staffing priorities, and daily execution of operational plans — all while maintaining the high standards Canadian Tire is known for. You’ll also serve as a key holder, playing an active role in the security and safety controls of the facility.

Beyond day-to-day operations, this role involves meaningful coaching and performance development. You’ll conduct performance evaluations, set team objectives aligned with business goals, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Collaboration across departments is essential, as you’ll be coordinating resources to support building-wide operational goals.

The hourly rate starts at $29.00 with annual step progression. Responsibilities

As a Distribution Supervisor, your day-to-day will revolve around managing shift execution, supporting your team’s development, and ensuring that safety, quality, and productivity targets are consistently achieved. Every responsibility you take on directly impacts the efficiency of one of Canada’s most recognized distribution networks.

• Manage workflow and labour allocation to execute daily shift plans that meet productivity, quality, and service objectives
• Serve as key holder and actively contribute to the security, loss prevention, and safety controls of the facility
• Lead Health & Safety initiatives by ensuring all team members adhere to proper safety procedures and protocols
• Coach and guide team members on work expectations, accountability, personal development, and deliverables
• Utilize data and reporting tools to drive informed, timely operational decisions
• Conduct performance evaluations and set team objectives that align with overall business goals
• Motivate and mentor coaches, designated trainers, and frontline employees to maintain a high-performance culture
• Coordinate resources across departments to support building-wide operational priorities

Requirements / Skills

The ideal candidate brings proven leadership experience in a distribution or logistics environment, combined with strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to safety. • Minimum 3 years of experience in a distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, retail distribution, or logistics environment
• Experience leading frontline teams in a fast-paced operational setting
• Strong safety knowledge with a demonstrated commitment to safety excellence and a solid safety track record
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with proven resource planning and prioritization capabilities
• Strong communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills to maintain positive, productive team dynamics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams); experience with WMS, labour management systems, voice/RF technology, or automation systems is an asset
• Certifications such as Designated Trainer (Train-the-Trainer), WHMIS/Chemical Handling, or TDG knowledge are considered an asset
• Ability to work full-time nights (3:45 PM – 1:45 AM, Crew 4)
