About the Role: Distribution Supervisor

Responsibilities

This role covers a wide scope of operational and people leadership duties. As a Distribution Supervisor, your day-to-day will revolve around managing shift execution, supporting your team’s development, and ensuring that safety, quality, and productivity targets are consistently achieved.   • Manage workflow and labour allocation to execute daily shift plans that meet productivity, quality, and service objectives
  • Serve as key holder and actively contribute to the security, loss prevention, and safety controls of the facility
  • Lead Health & Safety initiatives by ensuring all team members adhere to proper safety procedures and protocols
  • Coach and guide team members on work expectations, accountability, personal development, and deliverables
  • Utilize data and reporting tools to drive informed, timely operational decisions
  • Conduct performance evaluations and set team objectives that align with overall business goals
  • Motivate and mentor coaches, designated trainers, and frontline employees to maintain a high-performance culture
  • Coordinate resources across departments to support building-wide operational priorities

Requirements / Skills

The ideal candidate brings proven leadership experience in a distribution or logistics environment, combined with strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to safety.   • Minimum 3 years of experience in a distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, retail distribution, or logistics environment
  • Experience leading frontline teams in a fast-paced operational setting
  • Strong safety knowledge with a demonstrated commitment to safety excellence and a solid safety track record
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with proven resource planning and prioritization capabilities
  • Strong communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills to maintain positive, productive team dynamics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams); experience with WMS, labour management systems, voice/RF technology, or automation systems is an asset
  • Certifications such as Designated Trainer (Train-the-Trainer), WHMIS/Chemical Handling, or TDG knowledge are considered an asset
  • Ability to work full-time nights (3:45 PM – 1:45 AM, Crew 4)
