Security Guard – Canadian Tire – Brampton, ON
Location: Brampton, ON | Company: Canadian Tire
Canadian Tire Corporation is one of Canada’s most recognized companies, and their Toronto Operations Supply Chain locations in the Brampton, ON area are looking for a dedicated Security Guard to join their team. This is a frontline role that plays a critical part in keeping distribution centre operations safe, compliant, and running smoothly around the clock.
Working under the direction of the Manager, Physical Security & Gatehouse Operations, you’ll be the first line of response for all transportation and incoming traffic at the facility. About the Role: Security Guard
As a Security Guard at Canadian Tire’s Supply Chain operations, your primary focus will be controlling access to the Distribution Centre yard — checking vehicles and visitors in and out, conducting vehicle searches as required, and monitoring closed circuit television (CCTV) systems to protect company property and personnel. You’ll also confirm the compliance and integrity of inbound and outbound commercial vehicle loads, including adherence to Dangerous Goods transportation legislation.
This is a 24/7 operation, meaning you’ll be assigned a dedicated shift across the Toronto Operations Distribution and Gatehouse locations. You’ll work as part of a team while also being capable of exercising sound judgement independently — especially during emergency situations requiring escalation to police, fire, or ambulance services. Professionalism, accuracy in reporting, and strict adherence to safety codes and security procedures are the backbone of this role.
Benefits and Salary
The hourly rate starts at $21/hr with annual step progression. Final compensation is influenced by your experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and market factors. Canadian Tire also offers a comprehensive benefits package including health and retirement programs, performance incentives, continuing education programs, product discounts, and career growth opportunities.
