Benefits and Salary

The base salary range for this position in Vancouver, BC is $128,100 to $214,000 CAD annually. As a total compensation package, Amazon may also include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), with final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and location. Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life and AD&D), a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and additional resources to support health and well-being.

Responsibilities

As a Sr. Technical Program Manager on the Alexa Food team, your day-to-day work spans strategic planning, technical collaboration, and hands-on problem solving. These responsibilities are central to delivering high-quality Alexa+ food experiences to millions of customers worldwide.

  • Define and deliver critical programs for Alexa+ with clear goals and structured timelines
  • Establish mechanisms required for consistent delivery and effective program management
  • Influence and drive technical decisions across engineering and product teams
  • Assess and mitigate risks, handle escalations, and deliver concise, transparent updates to stakeholders at all levels
  • Dive deep into complex problems and break them into focused, solvable components with clear solutions
  • Mentor team members on advanced technical issues and support their professional development
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the development team based in Chennai (IST) and other global partners

Requirements / Skills

The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of technical program management experience and direct partnership with software engineering teams. Amazon is looking for someone who can operate with autonomy, communicate effectively at the executive level, and contribute meaningfully to a team building next-generation AI-powered experiences.

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience in a fast-moving environment
  • 7+ years working directly with engineering teams, understanding technical constraints and delivery cycles
  • 3+ years of software development experience, giving you the technical foundation to engage meaningfully with engineers
  • 5+ years of technical program management specifically with software engineering teams
  • Cross-functional program management experience, including building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Preferred: experience with KPIs and SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar business lines and reporting to senior leadership
  • Preferred: project management discipline across scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management (5+ years)
