AWS Professional Services is looking for a Senior Manager, Professional Services Cloud Architecture to lead the entire NAMER ProServe Cloud Architect organization. About the Role: Sr Manager, Professional Services Cloud Architecture
This role carries broad scope — you’ll lead PCA Managers and all ProServe Cloud Architects across North America, defining and executing regional pre-sales strategy aligned to ProServe’s 3-Year Plan. Day to day, that means partnering with AGS Sales and Solution Architect leadership, optimizing coverage models, and driving organizational design decisions that position the team for sustained success.
Beyond strategy, you’ll be deeply engaged in talent development and performance management, building a pipeline of future leaders and ensuring certification compliance across the team. You’ll also champion AI adoption with customers, drive engagement margin optimization, and serve as the executive escalation point for complex technical and strategic customer situations — all while fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Benefits and Salary
This position offers a base salary range of $172,200 to $287,600 CAD annually (Vancouver or Toronto). Amazon’s total compensation package may also include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), with final compensation based on experience, qualifications, and location. Responsibilities
This senior leadership role spans four core areas: regional strategy, people leadership, business performance, and customer engagement. The person in this seat is accountable for driving outcomes across all of them simultaneously — leading large dispersed teams while staying closely connected to enterprise customer needs and AWS’s broader go-to-market priorities.
- Lead the NAMER PCA organization, including direct management of PCA Managers and oversight of all ProServe Cloud Architects across North America
- Define and execute regional pre-sales strategy aligned to the ProServe 3-Year Plan
- Partner with NAMER ProServe Area Leaders, AGS Sales, and Technical Sales leadership to ensure optimal coverage and resource allocation
- Drive people development — including performance management, career growth, hiring, onboarding, and retention of high-performing talent
- Own regional Billable Bookings performance through team enablement and strategic opportunity support
- Optimize Engagement Margin (As Sold vs. As Delivered) through quality solution design and deal oversight
- Serve as executive escalation point for complex technical and strategic customer engagements
- Champion AI adoption with customers and internal builders across the region
- Establish and track regional KPIs including bookings, margin, CSAT, team development, and operational metrics
- Foster knowledge sharing, reusable artifact creation, and best practice adoption across the team
Requirements / Skills
Amazon is looking for a proven leader with deep roots in both technology and people management. The right candidate brings a track record of leading complex organizations, influencing at the executive level, and driving measurable business outcomes in a technical consulting or cloud environment.
- 10+ years of IT and/or Management Consulting experience, or 5+ years of direct people leadership experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience managing dispersed teams — including hiring, development, and performance management across multiple regions
- C-level engagement experience — proven ability to influence and build relationships with executive stakeholders
- Track record leading complex, multi-year initiatives that span business and technology functions
- 5+ years of cloud computing experience (preferred), with familiarity in cloud architecture and solution implementation
- AWS Professional level certification or equivalent hands-on cloud architecture experience (preferred)
- Data-driven decision-making skills and experience managing a budget or P&L (preferred)
