Tesla offers competitive hourly compensation based on technician level: Service Technician I earns $23.10–$63.76/hour, Service Technician II earns $26.80–$40.19/hour, and Service Technician III earns $31.42–$47.12/hour, plus cash and stock awards. Responsibilities

Tesla Service Technicians are responsible for keeping the company’s vehicles performing at their best. From hands-on diagnostic and repair work to collaborating with engineering teams, the scope of this role goes well beyond a typical auto shop — you’re contributing directly to the advancement of sustainable transportation technology.

  • Perform basic and advanced diagnostic and repair work across all aspects of the Tesla vehicle lineup
  • Execute high-voltage work following proper training, with or without supervision
  • Provide feedback to Tesla’s design and engineering teams to support continuous improvement of repair procedures and products
  • Document repairs consistently and concisely, maintaining accurate records for every service completed
  • Inspect and maintain shop equipment, requesting replacements as needed to keep the workspace safe and functional
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure exceptional vehicle delivery, including cleaning and detailing as required
  • Develop your technical expertise through individual development planning, on-the-job training, and company-provided programs

Requirements / Skills

Tesla is looking for technicians who bring both technical foundation and a genuine drive to keep growing. Whether you already hold your Automotive Service Technician licence or are eager to enter an apprenticeship, what matters most is your commitment to quality, safety, and professional development.

  • Associate’s degree or certificate in a related technology field (automotive, aeronautics, electrical, engines, marine, etc.) or equivalent hands-on work experience
  • Automotive Service Technician licence, or willingness to pursue a Technician Apprentice designation through provincial schooling
  • Valid Canadian driver’s licence — Class 5, G, or G2 required
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, organize workload, and consistently meet deadlines
  • Safety-first mindset demonstrated through past work history and daily practice
  • Section 609 Refrigerant Handling Certification is preferred
  • English communication skills required — the successful candidate will communicate daily in English with staff and clients outside of Quebec
