Senior Solutions Architect – Amazon Web Services – Vancouver, BC
Location: Vancouver, BC | Company: Amazon
AWS Canada is on the hunt for a Senior Solutions Architect to join its Independent Software Vendors (ISV) team — with positions available in both Vancouver, BC and Montreal, QC. This is a senior-level role at the intersection of deep technical expertise and strategic business influence, designed for architects who thrive on solving complex, multi-faceted cloud challenges at scale.
Day to day, you’ll be engaging with senior customer stakeholders, shaping long-term technology strategy, designing end-to-end cloud architectures, and building reusable assets that other Solutions Architects across the organization can leverage. If you’re energized by balancing hands-on technical work with meaningful business impact, this role is worth a close look.
About the Role: Senior Solutions Architect, ISV Canada
As a Senior Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services, you’ll serve as both a credible technical leader and a strategic advisor to ISV customers navigating complex cloud migration, modernization, and innovation journeys. You’ll partner with senior leaders across customer organizations, AWS sales teams, and cross-functional groups to design architectures that are extensible, scalable, and operationally sound. This isn’t a purely technical role — it requires the ability to communicate architectural trade-offs with confidence to both technical and executive audiences.
You’ll also be expected to contribute to the broader community through thought leadership content, workshops, presentations, and events. Internally, you’ll mentor teammates, build consensus on technical approaches, and advocate for customers by surfacing product gaps and feature requests to AWS service teams. Fluency in both French and English is required for candidates applying to the Quebec (Montreal) location.
Benefits and Salary
Amazon offers a comprehensive total compensation package for this role. The base salary range is $146,000 to $211,600 CAD annually for both Vancouver and Montreal locations, with final compensation determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Beyond base salary, the package may include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life and AD&D), a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and additional wellness resources.
