About the Role: Project Lead – Industrial Projects

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager – Industrial Projects, the Project Lead is responsible for the full coordination and execution of project cargo shipments from origin through to final delivery. This includes planning multi-leg routes, managing scheduling, and maintaining operational control across every phase of live shipments. You’ll work closely with Project Managers and align with DHL teams locally and globally to ensure each project meets client expectations, regulatory requirements, and tight timelines.

The role demands a strong focus on HSE compliance, customs regulations, and adherence to internal SOPs and SAP procedures. Responsibilities

As Project Lead – Industrial Projects, your day-to-day work spans the full lifecycle of complex freight operations — from initial planning and routing through to final delivery. You’ll be the operational backbone that keeps multi-stakeholder projects running on time and on target, coordinating across DHL teams, external carriers, and global partners.

  • Lead coordination of project cargo shipments from origin to final delivery, including multi-leg and oversized freight movements
  • Partner closely with Project Managers to execute live shipments and maintain operational control across all project phases
  • Act as the central point of coordination between DHL teams, carriers, customs brokers, and service providers both locally and globally
  • Drive proactive communication across all stakeholders to ensure alignment and mitigate operational risks before they escalate
  • Support detailed logistics planning, including routing, scheduling, and ground-level execution strategies
  • Ensure full compliance with HSE standards, customs regulations, and internal operating procedures (SOP/SAP)
  • Monitor and report on operational KPIs, identifying inefficiencies and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide hands-on support during peak activity periods or critical project phases
