Amazon’s Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team is hiring an Onsite Medical Representative (OMR) at their fulfillment site in Delta, British Columbia. This is a hands-on clinical role where your medical expertise directly supports the health and wellbeing of Amazon Associates on the floor every single day.
Working alongside the WHS site manager and WHS specialist, you’ll deliver first aid care, manage workers’ compensation programs, and proactively engage with associates and leadership to reduce workplace injury risks. About the Role: Onsite Medical Representative
As the Onsite Medical Representative, you’ll independently assess injuries, administer first aid, and refer associates to outside medical providers when needed. You’ll participate in weekly case management review meetings, safety committee meetings, and greet new hires as part of their onboarding experience. Your day-to-day presence on the operations floor is central to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.
Beyond clinical care, this role has a strong educational component — you’ll coach associates on safe work habits, facilitate CPR, AED, and first aid certification training, and contribute to OSHA compliance and risk analysis efforts. You’ll also assist with emergency response and drug testing protocols, making this a well-rounded occupational health position.
Benefits and Salary
This position offers a base hourly wage of $28.00 to $36.00 CAD for the Delta, BC location. Amazon’s total compensation package may also include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), with final compensation based on experience, qualifications, and location. Responsibilities
The Onsite Medical Representative plays a vital role in keeping Amazon’s workforce safe and healthy. From delivering direct clinical care to facilitating safety training, your responsibilities span both hands-on medical support and proactive injury prevention across the site.
- Provide first aid support and make referrals to outside medical providers as necessary
- Minimize associate injury risk through awareness, education, and proactive floor engagement
- Maintain records of all care provided to Amazon Associates
- Coordinate workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs for associates with work-related injuries
- Submit daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports
- Coach associates and leadership on observed at-risk work habits during operations floor walkthroughs
- Maintain medical supply inventory and ensure a clean working environment
- Facilitate first aid, CPR, and AED certification training and maintain personal credentials
- Assist with emergency response and random saliva drug testing protocols
- Work flexible shifts including days, nights, holidays, and weekends as required
Requirements / Skills
Amazon is looking for a credentialed healthcare professional with the right mix of clinical expertise and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate is proactive, comfortable working independently on a busy operations floor, and genuinely passionate about occupational health and injury prevention.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Valid British Columbia medical credential — one of the following: Provincial Primary Care Paramedic Certification (EMA Licensing Board), current Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Certification, or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Registered Nurse (RN) from BCCNM with WorkSafe BC-approved first aid training
- Advanced first aid certification from WorkSafe BC (or a recognized entity) must be obtained within 3 weeks of start date (LPN & RN only)
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 49 lbs, standing/walking up to 12 hours per shift, and climbing stairs
- Experience with OSHA regulations and workers’ compensation processes is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital recordkeeping preferred
- Experience in industrial wellness, musculoskeletal disorder management, ergonomics, or military medical roles (e.g., Canadian Armed Forces Medic) is a strong asset
