About the Role: Marketing Road Representative (Business Centre)

As a Marketing Road Representative, your primary focus is introducing the Costco Business Centre to local businesses and nurturing those relationships over time. You’ll also work closely with the Membership Area Manager to help shape and execute the marketing and sales plan for your territory.

Responsibilities

The Marketing Road Representative role involves a wide range of outreach, sales support, and member service activities. You’ll be expected to manage your own schedule in the field while staying connected to the team and tracking all interactions through Costco’s CRM tools. Here’s what a typical day or week might look like:

  • Canvass businesses in the warehouse sales area in person and by phone to promote membership and foster sales
  • Meet with business owners and assess their needs to identify Costco products and services that offer genuine value, using persuasive skills to promote walk-in and delivery sales
  • Assist the Membership Area Manager with formulating and carrying out the marketing and sales plan
  • Support members with online ordering via the website, suggesting new items, related products, and other Costco goods and services to grow sales

  • Use Cybergeneration (or other required CRM tool) to track all member communication and activity, including sales, sign-ups, appointments, calls, emails, and marketing campaigns
  • Comp shop competitors to consistently gauge Costco’s position in the market area
  • Participate in community events, trade shows, Chamber of Commerce meetings, and local charity events as directed by the Membership Area Manager
  • Provide prompt and courteous member service, responding to member concerns with problem-solving skills, tact, and discretion
  • Submit mileage records and expense receipts accurately for reimbursement
  • Assist at the Membership Counter and with inside marketing programs as needed

Requirements / Skills
