Responsibilities

This position keeps the Costco Optical Lab clean, safe, and fully operational on a daily basis. Every task — from mopping floors to conducting roof checks — contributes directly to the well-being of staff and the smooth functioning of the facility.

  • Clean and maintain floors in offices, break rooms, restrooms, the production floor, and other areas of the facility, changing scrubber water frequently to minimize dust
  • Empty trash from designated areas and operate both trash and cardboard compactors
  • Respond quickly to spills and other cleanliness issues throughout the facility
  • Clean light fixtures regularly, change light bulbs, wash windows, upper walls, and ceilings, and vacuum rafters periodically
  • Assist with grounds maintenance including blowing leaves, picking up litter, roof checks, snow and ice removal, painting, and concrete floor repairs
  • Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed and place received merchandise in the appropriate department
  • Operate the internal maintenance system (Interal) and conduct store inventory
  • Perform internal and external purchases as required
  • Provide courteous service to members, employees, and suppliers at all times
  • Follow all safety and security procedures specific to the Optical Lab and Costco standards

Requirements / Skills
