About the Role: Letter Carrier – Delivery Agent

As a delivery agent with Canada Post, you’ll be sorting and preparing deliveries at the start of your shift, loading a postal vehicle, and heading out to serve residential and business customers on your assigned route. Deliveries are made by both vehicle and on foot, so expect to be active throughout your shift. You’ll also return to the depot at the end of the day to unload incoming parcels for future delivery.

This role comes with structured on-the-job and classroom training to set you up properly before you hit the road.   • Sort and prepare the day’s deliveries at the start of each shift in the depot
  • Load and operate a Canada Post postal vehicle safely and efficiently

Requirements / Skills

Canada Post is looking for someone reliable, physically capable, and comfortable working independently outdoors. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and understands how important timely, accurate delivery is to people across the community.

  • Valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a safe driving record for a minimum of 3 years (driver’s abstract required)
  • Physical fitness — ability to lift items up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the day
  • On-call availability — must be available to work when contacted
  • Weather resilience — comfort working outdoors in all seasons and conditions
  • Language proficiency — ability to read, write, and speak English and/or French
  • Customer service experience is an asset
  • Delivery or driving experience is considered an advantage
