Responsibilities
Day-to-day, a Relief Mail Carrier is on the move — sorting mail, navigating rural routes, and ensuring every item reaches its destination safely. These responsibilities are the backbone of reliable postal service in Wiarton and the surrounding communities.
- Sort, collect, and deliver mail items in a safe and timely manner
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of local roads, customers, and delivery receptacles
- Secure mail properly while in your possession throughout the delivery route
- Process CPC products and services including Change of Address Notifications, Damaged Mail, and Items Delivered Bills (IDB)
- Wear Canada Post identification and ensure its visibility at all times while delivering and collecting mail
- Lift and carry items up to 50 lb / 22.7 kg
- Operate a motor vehicle safely in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions
Requirements / Skills
