About the Role: Postal Clerk – Retail Counter Clerk

As a Retail Counter Clerk, your primary focus will be delivering excellent customer service to every person who walks through the door. You’ll operate a computerized point of sale system, handle a variety of financial transactions, and maintain a solid working knowledge of postal products, services, and delivery options available through Canada Post.

Beyond the counter, this role also involves receiving, sorting, and sequencing mail items, maintaining floor displays, and supporting merchandising and inventory control. Physical effort is part of the job — you’ll need to be comfortable handling mail items weighing up to 22.7 kilograms (50 pounds). A bilingual work environment is required, with a Bilingual Imperative (–BB) language requirement for this position.

• Process financial transactions including cash, cheques, debit, and credit card payments
• Receive, sort, and sequence mail items as required
• Handle mail items weighing up to 22.7 kilograms (50 pounds) with proper physical effort
• Maintain floor displays to keep the retail space organized and presentable
• Conduct merchandising and inventory control to support store operations
