ICQA Data Analyst – Amazon – Tsawwassen, BC

Day to day, you’ll be partnering with both ICQA and operations teams across Inbound and Outbound functions to deliver data insights, automated dashboards, and custom analytical tools. You’ll own the reporting pipeline end-to-end, mining data sources to simplify complex processes and flag defect trends before they become bigger problems.

About the Role: ICQA Data Analyst

As the ICQA Data Analyst at Amazon YVR4, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining data collection processes, designing queries, and generating reports that support ACES initiatives and SoX compliance requirements. You’ll create automated reporting systems and dashboards that give leadership clear visibility into inventory health and quality metrics.

This role demands someone comfortable working in a fast-moving, sometimes ambiguous environment. You’ll need to work autonomously, take ownership of business objectives, and bring creative problem-solving to an ever-evolving operational landscape. Occasional backup support for Process Assistant duties is also part of the scope.

Responsibilities

The ICQA Data Analyst plays a central role in keeping Amazon’s inventory operations accurate and compliant. From building robust data pipelines to investigating defect trends, every task you take on contributes to the reliability and efficiency of the fulfilment centre.

  • Develop data collection processes and data management systems to support ICQA operations
  • Maintain data integrity with a target of 0% error rate across all reporting outputs
  • Design SQL queries, compile datasets, and generate detailed reports in MS Excel
  • Build charts and graphs to visualize data for operational and leadership reporting
  • Investigate defect trends through in-depth root cause analysis
  • Create automated dashboards and custom analytics automation tools
  • Mine internal and external data sources to simplify mechanisms and solve problems
  • Provide backup support for Process Assistant duties as needed

Requirements / Skills

Amazon is looking for a candidate with a solid foundation in data analysis and business intelligence, combined with a strong technical toolkit. The ideal applicant brings hands-on experience with SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools, and thrives when working independently in complex environments.

  • 2+ years of experience as a business analyst, data analyst, or equivalent role
  • SQL proficiency with 1+ years of experience extracting and manipulating data
  • Advanced Excel skills including experience writing complex VBA macros
  • Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma/equivalent
  • Experience with Python, Tableau, or other advanced analytics tools (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability in problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and able to work 40 hours per week
