About the Role: Group Coordinator Lead
As a Group Coordinator Lead at DHL Supply Chain in Milton, you’ll be responsible for assigning work schedules, training new associates, and monitoring performance across your work group. Your shift runs Tuesday through Saturday, 6am to 2pm, and you’ll be expected to open and/or close the building, ensure compliance with company policies, and communicate work practices clearly to your team. Day-to-day duties also include receiving, loading, put-away, replenishment, and order picking.
A big part of this role is maintaining a safe, secure, and clean facility. You’ll report unsafe conditions to supervisors when they can’t be self-corrected, and you’ll conduct operations in a way that prioritizes both people and productivity. Organizational skills, process orientation, and clear communication are essential to succeeding in this position.
Benefits and Salary
This role pays $23.50 per hour, plus a $1.00 team lead premium. Responsibilities
In this Group Coordinator Lead role, you’ll manage both people and processes across your assigned shift. From training new hires to overseeing day-to-day warehouse tasks, your work directly impacts the efficiency and safety of DHL’s Milton facility.
- Coordinate and supervise shipping, receiving, picking, and storage activities on shift in line with company service and cost objectives
- Train new associates and monitor their progress to ensure they meet performance and safety standards
- Assign work schedules and provide day-to-day direction and guidance to the work group
- Maintain accurate records and logs; review documents prepared by work group members for legibility and accuracy
- Enforce compliance with company policy and procedure at all times
- Promote safety, security, and cleanliness throughout the facility; report unsafe conditions to supervisors when they cannot be self-corrected
- Communicate work practices, procedures, and methods clearly to all associates
- Open and/or close and secure the building as directed
- Perform hands-on duties including receiving, loading, put-away, replenishment, and order picking as required
Requirements / Skills
DHL is looking for a candidate with warehouse leadership experience and the ability to keep a team organized and motivated. You should be comfortable operating material handling equipment (MHE) and have a solid understanding of warehouse systems and processes.
- 6–12 months of warehouse experience in a similar operational environment
- 6–12 months of forklift operation experience; MHE Certification (Centre Rider, Standup/Sit-down Counterbalance) required
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift training program within the first 30 days of employment
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to see the bigger picture and guide a team effectively
- Experience with Blue Yonder / SAP warehouse management systems preferred
- Ability to handle up to 50 lbs and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts (days, afternoons, midnights) as needed
