This is a Monday to Friday daytime shift (7:00am–3:00pm), giving you consistent hours and a predictable schedule. You’ll be operating powered equipment to move, stack, and count product while ensuring accuracy and safety at every step of the supply chain.

About the Role: Forklift Operator

As a Forklift Operator at DHL Supply Chain in North York, your primary responsibility is operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and other powered equipment for roughly 80% of your shift. You’ll be loading and unloading freight, pulling and preparing product for shipment, and verifying that load counts, stability, and product condition all meet customer requirements. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential in this role — every product check matters.

Beyond operating equipment, you’ll play a role in keeping the warehouse running smoothly. This full-time position pays $23.50 per hour. Responsibilities

Day to day, you’ll be hands-on with powered warehouse equipment for the majority of your shift. These responsibilities are central to keeping DHL’s supply chain accurate, safe, and on schedule — every task ties directly to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

  • Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other powered equipment to load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials for 80% of your shift
  • Pull and prepare product for shipment, verifying the exact number and types of product being loaded
  • Verify load accuracy by checking load counts, stability, and product condition, and reporting any variances
  • Maintain records and reports to support inventory accuracy throughout the warehouse
  • Inspect equipment daily and change batteries or LP tanks as needed to maintain operational readiness
  • Assist with physical inventories as required
  • Keep equipment, materials, and facility areas neat, clean, and orderly
  • Comply with all OSHA and MSDS safety standards at all times

Requirements / Skills

DHL is looking for a candidate with hands-on forklift experience and a solid foundation in warehouse operations. You should be comfortable working in a structured, safety-focused environment and be prepared to obtain or present your forklift certification promptly upon hire.

  • Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift training program within the first 30 days of employment
  • Six months of forklift operation experience (required)
  • Six months of warehouse experience (preferred)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Attention to detail when checking inbound and outbound product for damage, code dates, and customer specifications
  • Ability to comply with safety standards including OSHA and MSDS regulations
