Forklift Operator – DHL Supply Chain – Hannon, ON

DHL Supply Chain is looking for a Part Time Forklift Operator to join their team in Hannon, Ontario. This role keeps the warehouse running smoothly. You’ll be operating powered forklift equipment, including a centre rider, to move, stack, and count product throughout your shift. Accuracy, safety, and efficiency are what this position is all about.

About the Role: Forklift Operator

As a Forklift Operator at DHL Supply Chain, you’ll be hands-on with loading, unloading, and staging products using forklifts, clamp trucks, and other powered equipment. You’ll be responsible for verifying inbound and outbound shipments, confirming product codes, and ensuring goods are free of damage before they move through the supply chain.

Working in a warehouse environment, you’ll be expected to follow all OSHA and MSDS safety standards, maintain equipment and workspaces in proper order, and support inventory accuracy through diligent record-keeping. This is a position where attention to detail and a safety-first mindset matter every single day.

Benefits and Salary

This Part Time Forklift Operator position pays $23.50 per hour. While core benefits such as medical, dental, and long-term disability coverage are available to full-time associates, part-time employees at DHL still have access to optional savings plans including a DCPP, RRSP, and TFSA. Optional life insurance and critical illness coverage are also available, subject to eligibility.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll spend the majority of your shift operating powered material handling equipment to keep product flowing through the warehouse efficiently. From staging outbound shipments to verifying inventory accuracy, every task plays a direct role in the overall success of DHL’s supply chain operations.

• Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other powered equipment to load, unload, move, and stage products — approximately 80% of each shift
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, verifying the correct number and types of items are loaded
• Inspect all inbound and outbound products to confirm they are free of damage and infestation, and that product code dates are accurately recorded
• Verify load accuracy by checking count, stability, and condition; report any variances as required
• Maintain records and reports to support inventory accuracy throughout the facility
• Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor power sources as needed
• Complete daily equipment inspections and keep the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, orderly condition
• Assist with physical inventories and comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards

• Forklift operator certificate or successful completion of a forklift training program within the first 30 days of employment
• Six months of forklift operation experience in a warehouse setting (one year preferred)
• Six months of warehouse experience preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA and MSDS standards and commitment to safe workplace practices
• Attention to detail when verifying product counts, load stability, and shipment accuracy
