Job Summary & Tips for Applying

AI-generated summary and tips to help you highlight your strengths effectively.

Quick Summary & What to Highlight: The Food Counter Attendant role at Tim Hortons in Yellowknife is a permanent, full-time position at $20.00/hour covering counter service, food prep and kitchen cleaning. Candidates should put their customer service experience and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment at the top of their resume, since both map directly to taking orders and keeping the counter and kitchen running during busy shifts.

Resume & Application Tips: The posting lists tasks in specific terms, so match that language on your resume: write “took customers’ orders,” “stocked refrigerators,” “sanitized kitchen equipment” rather than broad descriptions. If you’ve worked in any food service, retail or cleaning role, note tasks that involved standing for extended periods or handling heavy loads, since the posting flags both as regular physical demands. A line such as “served 50+ customers per shift during breakfast rush” shows the pace of work in a measurable way.

Interview Preparation: Be ready to give a specific example of a time you managed several tasks at once under time pressure, since ability to multitask and work under pressure are both listed. The posting covers a wide range of shifts (early morning through overnight and weekends), so have a clear answer ready about which hours you’re available. Two useful questions to ask: how many team members are typically on a shift, and whether the on-site housing options listed are available immediately or have a waitlist.
