Job Summary & Tips for Applying

AI-generated summary and tips to help you highlight your strengths effectively.

Quick Summary & What to Highlight: The Account Executive, Global Growth Sales position at Amazon Advertising in Toronto focuses on growing and retaining advertising revenue across small-to-medium brand and performance advertisers. A candidate applying should lead with their track record of exceeding revenue targets, which maps directly to the role’s core mandate, and their consultative selling experience, which the posting names as the primary approach to guiding clients toward their goals.

Resume & Application Tips: Mirror the posting’s own language on your resume: phrases like data-driven account plans, cross-functional collaboration and CRM tools such as Salesforce are worth naming explicitly if they match your background. If you have digital media ad sales experience, call it out in a dedicated line rather than burying it under a general sales heading. For a measurable achievement, quantify a revenue result you drove (for example: grew an existing account portfolio by 35% year-over-year by identifying upsell opportunities through weekly performance reporting). Have your degree credential ready to confirm.

Interview Preparation: Prepare a concrete example of closing a complex, high-value deal from prospecting through to close, including how you brought internal resources together. The posting also stresses executive-level relationship building, so be ready to walk through a specific case where you gained buy-in from a C-level contact. Since the posting does not specify hours beyond a full-time salary structure, a practical question to ask is how the team measures success in the first 90 days for this account executive role.
