About the Role: Food Counter Attendant

As a Food Counter Attendant at Tim Hortons, your day-to-day will revolve around delivering quick, friendly service to customers while handling a range of food preparation and counter duties. You’ll be working in a coffee shop setting, managing everything from taking orders to stocking supplies and keeping food items ready to go.

The role involves physically demanding work — you’ll be on your feet for extended periods, handling heavy loads at times, and working through repetitive tasks under pressure. The ability to multitask efficiently while staying focused on customer satisfaction is key to succeeding in this position.

Responsibilities

Working at a Tim Hortons coffee shop means staying on top of multiple tasks at once while keeping the customer experience front and centre. From the moment a customer walks in to the moment their order is ready, you’ll play a direct role in making their visit a good one. Here’s what you’ll be doing on a typical shift:

• Take customers’ orders accurately and efficiently at the counter
• Prepare, heat and finish simple food items for service
• Portion and wrap foods to meet presentation and quality standards
• Package take-out food for customers on the go
• Serve customers at counters or buffet tables in a friendly, timely manner
• Stock refrigerators and salad bars to keep supplies ready throughout the shift
• Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs as needed
