About the Role: Food & Consumables Team Associate

As a Food & Consumables Team Associate, your primary focus is keeping the department running smoothly. You’ll zone shelves and bunkers, rotate products, verify expiry dates, and make sure everything is properly signed and priced. The goal is simple: give customers a clean, well-stocked, and easy-to-navigate section every single visit.

This role also carries responsibility for food safety compliance, including cold chain standards, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, and proper food handling procedures. Working within Walmart’s established processes for ordering, markdowns, and labelling is a key part of day-to-day expectations.

Benefits and Salary

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $16.15/hour. • Zone the department to ensure product shelves, tables, and bunkers are organized and products are in their correct locations
• Rotate stock and check for expired products to maintain freshness and food safety standards
• Verify merchandise is properly signed and priced so customers always have accurate information
• Adhere to food safety standards including cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, proper food handling, and sell-by/expiration date monitoring
• Follow established procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labelling
