About the Role: Front End Checkout Team Associate

As a Front End Checkout Team Associate, you’ll be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently, greeting shoppers warmly, and assisting with bagging and loading merchandise. You’ll also promote company-sponsored programs such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charity initiatives, while helping customers navigate self-checkout options.

Maintaining register security and following safe work practices — including proper lifting techniques and keeping a clean workstation — are key parts of the job. When situations call for it, you’ll refer customers or transactional matters to a Customer Service Manager or Front End Team Lead, ensuring the right level of support is always available.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $16.15 per hour. Responsibilities

• Greet all customers in a polite and friendly manner upon arrival at the checkout
• Process all purchase transactions in a timely and efficient manner, including EAS merchandise deactivation
• Promote company-sponsored programs including credit card services, product protection, and charity initiatives
• Assist customers with bagging and loading their merchandise
• Educate and support customers on the correct and efficient use of self-checkout options
• Maintain register security and integrity through diligent cash handling and adherence to company policies
• Follow safe work practices, including proper lifting techniques and keeping a clean work area
• Refer appropriate service or transactional matters to a Customer Service Manager or Front End Team Lead as needed
