About the Role: Finance Manager, SPS Finance

As Finance Manager, you’ll serve as a strategic finance partner to the Worldwide Fulfillment by Amazon (WW FBA) organization. Your work will directly influence critical business decisions — from weekly and quarterly business reviews to annual operating plans and 3-year vision plans. You’ll own some of the organization’s most visible mechanisms, ensuring financial accountability and driving performance improvements across global teams.

Benefits and Salary

This position offers a base salary range of $80,900 to $135,200 CAD annually for the Vancouver location. As part of Amazon’s total compensation approach, the package may also include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), with final compensation based on experience, qualifications, and location. Responsibilities

As the Finance Manager for SPS Finance, you’ll be responsible for driving financial clarity across a complex, fast-moving fulfilment business — from overseeing reporting mechanisms to actively influencing how strategic decisions get made. • Oversee financial reporting for your business area, validating data integrity and influencing strategic decision-making and long-range planning
• Leverage data to surface disruptive ideas and deliver actionable guidance to business leaders on a global scale
• Prioritize controllership by identifying and resolving complex data integrity issues, strengthening controls to mitigate financial risk
• Educate business partners on financial and non-financial trade-offs, exercising sound judgement in ambiguous environments where data may be scarce
• Communicate financial insights clearly and concisely — both written and verbal — adapting your style across diverse audiences to drive critical business decisions
• Collect and analyze data to develop insightful reporting that supports business performance improvement and cost reduction
• Own key business mechanisms including weekly business reviews, quarterly business reviews, annual operating plans, and 3-year vision plans
• Foster constructive dialogue, harmonizing conflicting views and driving decisions while modelling operational excellence for the broader team

Requirements / Skills

Amazon is looking for a seasoned finance professional who brings both analytical rigour and strategic thinking to the table. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in ambiguity, building strong cross-functional relationships, and translating complex data into clear narratives that lead to action. Here’s what’s required:

• 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field
• 6+ years applying key financial KPIs to analyses and business strategy
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
• 5+ years dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy
• 4+ years leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy
• MBA or CPA designation is a strong asset
• Experience with large-scale data mining tools such as SQL, MS Access, Essbase, or Cognos, and financial systems like Oracle, SAP, or JD Edwards
• Proven track record delivering forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation
