Benefits and Salary

The base salary range for this position is $76,400 to $127,600 CAD annually for Vancouver, BC. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. As a total compensation company, Amazon’s overall package may also include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Benefits include comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life and AD&D), a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and additional resources to support health and well-being.

Responsibilities

As a BI Engineer on the IT PnD Data and Analytics team, you’ll own a wide range of analytical and engineering tasks that directly shape how Amazon’s leadership teams make decisions. From maintaining the weekly organizational metrics scorecard to performing deep-dive root cause analysis, your contributions will be visible and impactful across the organization.

  • Perform complex business analysis to help drive organizational decision-making
  • Complete root cause analysis and provide recommendations to senior leadership to address key opportunities
  • Develop automated metrics that give senior business leaders insight into team and organizational performance
  • Build and maintain Tableau dashboards that deliver clear, actionable data visualizations
  • Define key metrics and shared goals that determine success across specific business areas
  • Own shared responsibility for the weekly organizational metrics scorecard
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure delivery of the right metrics
  • Monitor data quality, conduct code reviews, and document progress with scalability and efficiency in mind

Requirements / Skills

Amazon is looking for a candidate who brings a solid mix of technical expertise and business acumen.
