DHL Supply Chain is looking for a Building Maintenance technician at their North York, Ontario facility. This is a Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm daytime role, which means no weekend shifts and a consistent schedule you can count on. You’ll be responsible for keeping a busy logistics facility running safely and efficiently — from HVAC systems and electrical work to carpentry and preventative maintenance programs.
About the Role: Building Maintenance
In this position, you’ll take ownership of the general maintenance of the building and its facilities, covering a wide range of systems including water, heating, air conditioning, and electrical. Your work directly supports the safety and reliability of the entire operation, ensuring that both the physical space and the equipment within it are always in proper working order.
Beyond reactive repairs, you’ll also carry out preventative maintenance programs to get ahead of issues before they become costly problems. You’ll be expected to document your work through required maintenance reports and respond to security and alarm calls as needed, making this a role that requires both technical skill and a strong sense of responsibility.
Benefits and Salary
This full-time position pays $20.75 per hour. Responsibilities
The Building Maintenance technician at DHL is the backbone of a safe and functional facility. From hands-on repairs to scheduled preventative maintenance, your day-to-day work ensures that the building and all its systems support an efficient logistics operation without interruption.
- Maintain the HVAC system to ensure proper heating, ventilation, and air conditioning throughout the facility
- Perform minor repairs for water and electrical systems as issues arise
- Execute preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and prevent equipment failures
- Service material handling equipment to ensure consistent operational reliability
- Conduct general carpentry work including maintenance on floors, walls, and doors
- Inspect and ensure all safety equipment is in proper working order at all times
- Complete required maintenance reports upon completion of each task
- Respond to security and alarm calls as needed throughout the shift
Requirements / Skills
The right candidate for this role brings a solid background in facility or building maintenance and is comfortable working independently across a variety of trades. - 2+ years of facility maintenance experience in a commercial or industrial setting
- Hands-on knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and basic electrical systems

- Ability to carry out preventative maintenance programs and document work accurately
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to maintaining a compliant work environment
