Area Manager II – Amazon – St. Thomas, ON
Amazon is hiring an Area Manager II at its fulfillment operations in St. Thomas, Ontario. This is a leadership role within one of the world’s most complex logistics networks, where you’ll oversee a team of up to 80 associates and drive real operational impact across the entire fulfilment workflow — from first mile to last mile delivery.
Day-to-day, you’ll be on the floor coaching your team, solving operational challenges with data, and collaborating cross-functionally with Safety, HR, Engineering, and Quality teams. If you’re the kind of leader who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment, enjoys building people up, and can make sharp decisions under pressure, this role is built for you.
About the Role: Area Manager II
As an Area Manager II, you’ll act as a strategic operational leader responsible for department-level performance across safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery. You’ll run planning sessions, diagnose root causes of performance gaps using advanced analytics, and implement process improvements that can affect 200+ associates across multiple workflows. Your decisions directly influence millions of customer orders every day.
This role demands both people leadership and analytical thinking. You’ll facilitate alignment meetings with senior leadership, balance competing priorities, and keep your team engaged and performing at the highest standards — all while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. Physical readiness is also part of the job: the role involves standing and walking for up to 12 hours per shift and working in variable temperature conditions.
Benefits and Salary
The base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $105,000 CAD annually, with final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon’s total compensation package may also include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The company offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life & AD&D), a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and additional resources to support health and well-being.
