Amazon Canada is on a mission to become Earth’s Safest Place to Work — and they’re looking for a Wellness WHS Specialist to help lead that charge at their Fulfillment Centre in St. Thomas, Ontario. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be working directly with associates on the floor, focusing on injury prevention, ergonomic training, and proactive health and safety initiatives. If you have a background in kinesiology, athletic therapy, or a related field and you’re passionate about keeping people safe and healthy at work, this opportunity is worth a close look.
Reporting to the Site WHS Manager, you’ll be an integral part of the local Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team. Day-to-day, you’ll be coaching associates one-on-one on physical movement techniques before soreness or injury occurs, leading workplace evaluations, and building educational programs that embed a prevention-first mindset into daily operations. It’s a role that blends data analysis, relationship building, and practical coaching in a fast-paced fulfillment environment.
About the Role: Wellness WHS Specialist
At the core of this position is proactive injury prevention. You’ll analyse injury trends and risk assessment data to design targeted ergonomic interventions, identify and eliminate hazards before they cause harm, and translate complex data into clear, actionable strategies that protect associates and improve workflows. This isn’t a desk job — you’ll be on the floor, engaging with teams and driving real change.
Beyond prevention, you’ll champion wellness education across the site. That means developing and delivering engaging training programs, building trusted partnerships with operations teams, and creating lasting behaviour change through personalized coaching and positive reinforcement. You’ll also be expected to maintain emergency response readiness and obtain first aid certification specific to your province within three weeks of your start date.
