About the Role: Area Manager II

As an Area Manager II at Amazon’s Brampton fulfilment centre, you’ll be responsible for leading your team through daily operational shifts while driving meaningful improvements at the department level. Benefits and Salary

Amazon offers a base salary range of $75,000 to $105,000 CAD annually for this position in Brampton, Ontario. As a total compensation company, the package may also include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), with final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and location. Responsibilities

As an Area Manager II, your day-to-day will span people leadership, operational planning, and continuous improvement. You’ll be the go-to leader for your team of hourly associates while also influencing broader department-level outcomes across the fulfilment centre. Here’s what the role looks like in practice:

  • Lead and mentor a team of up to 80 hourly associates, supporting their development and maintaining high levels of engagement throughout each shift

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources teams to develop and execute plans that meet business objectives

  • Facilitate planning sessions and alignment meetings with senior leadership to communicate department-level goals and progress
  • Drive process improvements that can impact 200+ associates across multiple workflows and operational areas
  • Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays as required by operational needs
  • Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 49 pounds, standing or walking for up to 12 hours, and navigating variable temperature environments

Requirements / Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in employee and performance management is required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, OR 2+ years of Amazon blue badge/FTE experience

  • Experience with performance metrics and process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen is an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead large teams of 50+ members
  • Background in relevant industries such as shipping/logistics, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, or healthcare is preferred
  • Degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics or a related field is considered an asset
