About the Role: WHS Specialist

As a WHS Specialist, your core focus will span two major areas: safety program excellence and associate advocacy. On the program side, you’ll use data-driven strategies to identify risks, conduct job hazard analyses, and implement preventative solutions before incidents occur. You’ll also be responsible for making safety training genuinely resonate — not just ticking boxes, but influencing behaviour and building a proactive culture.

On the people side, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor across all levels of the organization, from associates on the warehouse floor to site leadership. Benefits and Salary

This position offers an hourly wage range of $29.37 to $40.38 CAD, with final compensation based on experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon’s total compensation package may also include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Responsibilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel used in a professional setting
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in matters involving security or personnel issues
  • Preferred: Experience in workers’ compensation case management, emergency response, and current First Aid & CPR certification
  • Preferred: Experience leading teams and analyzing accident data or new machinery for potential safety concerns
