About the Role: Tesla Advisor, Sales
As a Tesla Advisor, your day-to-day centres on delivering an educational, immersive, and exciting experience to both current and prospective customers. You’ll greet walk-in guests, explain Tesla’s product offerings, facilitate test drives, and guide customers through the full sales and delivery cycle. It’s a role that blends genuine hospitality with product expertise and sales performance.
You’ll be expected to stay current on EV trends and local incentives, maintain a healthy sales pipeline, and consistently hit individual KPI and monthly sales targets. Given that this position is in Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, or British Columbia, you’ll also need to hold — or be eligible to obtain — a motor vehicle salesperson licence issued by the BC provincial regulator, as this is a condition of employment.
Benefits and Salary
Tesla offers a competitive hourly rate of $21.60 – $41.31/hour, plus cash and stock awards. Responsibilities
This role keeps you engaged and moving throughout the day. Whether you’re welcoming a first-time visitor, coordinating a test drive, or preparing a vehicle for delivery, every task contributes directly to the customer experience and Tesla’s broader sales goals. Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll be doing:
- Greet and engage walk-in guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for productive conversations
- Educate and excite prospective customers through various channels about Tesla’s full range of products and services
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline by collecting customer information and facilitating test drives for potential buyers
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the entire sales cycle, including vehicle preparation and document completion
- Meet and exceed individual sales and KPI targets to contribute to monthly delivery goals
- Stay informed on Tesla’s evolving product lineup, EV industry trends, and local government incentives
- Perform additional tasks as assigned, including direct deliveries to customer homes when required
Requirements / Skills
Tesla is looking for someone who brings energy, organisation, and a genuine belief in the company’s mission. The right candidate is comfortable in a fast-paced retail setting and knows how to build rapport quickly while keeping the customer’s needs front and centre.
- 1+ years of customer service and/or sales experience with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals
- Passion for Tesla’s mission and a strong interest in sustainable energy and personal transportation innovation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with strong organisational abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools to manage customer data and follow-ups effectively
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a retail environment
- Valid Class 5, G, or G2 driver’s licence required for Canada
- Motor vehicle salesperson licence/certificate issued by the BC provincial regulator — required for this role as a condition of employment; check your eligibility before applying
