About the Role: Associate Collision Manager

As the Associate Collision Manager, you’ll oversee your assigned shift from start to finish — managing work flow, maintaining shop records, setting work standards, and ensuring every team member is aligned on daily goals. You’ll work closely with the Collision Manager to scale production and meet company targets, all while keeping safety, quality, and efficiency front and centre.

This position calls for someone who understands collision shop workflow and production systems at a detailed level. You’ll apply critical thinking and root cause analysis to resolve technical and personnel issues, ensuring your team operates at its best while following all safety regulations and the centre’s safety program.

Benefits and Salary

Tesla offers a competitive compensation package for this position, with an expected annual salary of $101,200 – $151,800, plus cash and stock awards. Responsibilities

The Associate Collision Manager plays a pivotal role in keeping the collision centre running at peak performance. From supervising the shop floor to coordinating training and resolving technical issues, your day-to-day work directly shapes the quality of service Tesla customers receive and the experience of the team you lead.

• Supervise and coach assigned shift team members to consistently meet quality and facility goals
• Manage work flow through the facility, maintaining shop records and inventories
• Define and improve work standards in collaboration with technicians and team input
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations and the collision centre’s safety program
• Resolve technical and personnel issues in a timely and constructive manner
• Schedule staff to meet facility needs while accommodating vacations and time off per company policy
• Select team members and ensure they receive all required training; conduct regular one-on-one development meetings
• Communicate daily with all team members to align on goals and share any issues affecting the facility or broader organization
• Partner with the Collision Manager to scale shop production and meet company targets, working collaboratively with key partners

Requirements / Skills

Tesla is looking for a proven leader who brings both technical collision knowledge and strong people management capabilities to the table. The right candidate is someone who’s comfortable holding teams accountable while also investing in their professional growth — and who can think critically when things don’t go to plan.

• 1–5+ years of leadership experience in a collision centre, refurbishment centre, service centre, or similar operation
• 5–10+ years of collision technical experience or demonstrated aptitude in the field (preferred)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, competing priorities, and tight deadlines
• Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills to lead group troubleshooting and develop quick countermeasures
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective customer and team interactions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with repair estimates
• Valid driver’s licence (preferred)
