About the Role: Technical Account Manager II

The Technical Account Manager serves as the key liaison between Google Cloud and its enterprise customers. You’ll lead customers through the full arc of their cloud adoption — from initial planning and migration strategy through to launch, scaling, and ongoing optimisation. Your work will directly influence how organizations leverage Google Cloud products and services to solve their most pressing business challenges.

Day to day, you’ll collaborate across geographically dispersed teams including Cloud Consulting, Support, Site Reliability, and Developer groups. You’ll conduct quarterly business reviews, lead executive sessions, develop technical roadmaps, and build best practices that can be scaled across the partner ecosystem. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential in this cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

As a Technical Account Manager II at Google Cloud, your responsibilities span technical guidance, relationship management, and strategic programme delivery. You’ll be trusted to keep enterprise customers moving forward on their cloud journey while acting as their internal champion at Google.

  • Accelerate cloud adoption by leading customers through their Google Cloud implementation journey, including managing timelines, milestones, migration goals, and business transformation strategies
  • Advocate for customer needs to overcome adoption blockers, drive new feature development, and maintain momentum across multiple work streams and teams
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships to understand the customer’s business, develop technical roadmaps, and lead quarterly business reviews and executive sessions
  • Plan and support customer events and launches, coordinating with Support, Developer, and Site Reliability teams to ensure successful go-lives and issue resolution
  • Develop best practices and reusable assets from customer engagement learnings to scale adoption through partners and support broader Google Cloud growth initiatives

Requirements / Skills

Google is seeking a technically grounded, client-oriented professional who thrives in fast-moving enterprise environments. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in cloud technologies, a track record of guiding complex implementations, and the communication skills to work confidently with both technical teams and executive leadership.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8+ years of experience in a customer-facing role working with stakeholders on technical implementations or transformation programmes
  • Cloud operations experience in areas such as launch or capacity planning, product release management, cloud technical support, escalation management, or cloud consulting
  • Application or workload migration experience to public cloud platforms is a strong asset
  • Understanding of IT domains including networking, database systems, IT security, application development, service architecture, cloud-native development, storage, or content delivery networks
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions and manage client relationships at all levels
  • MBA or Master’s degree in a Management, Technical, or Engineering field is preferred
