About the Role: Account Executive, Shopify Growth Team
As an Account Executive on the Shopify Growth Team, your primary focus is developing and executing strategies that unlock transformative growth for your clients. You’ll engage with senior stakeholders, lead the creation of Joint Business Plans, and deliver compelling pitches backed by deep knowledge of Google’s advertising offerings. The role demands both analytical rigour and creative storytelling — you’ll need to translate data into compelling narratives that resonate with executive audiences.
This role is collaborative by nature. You’ll work alongside fellow sellers and cross-functional teams to navigate complex industry shifts, overcome objections, and exceed revenue sales targets. Responsibilities
Day-to-day, you’ll be building and managing relationships with senior client stakeholders, developing strategic plans, and delivering Google advertising solutions that align with customer goals. These responsibilities require a blend of consultative selling, analytical thinking, and executive-level communication.
- Engage and influence key decision-makers, including C-suite executives, building trusted relationships to understand their core business issues and strategic priorities
- Lead the development of Joint Business Plans, aligning with customers on ambitious goals and establishing shared accountability to unlock transformative growth opportunities
- Design and pitch effective, data-driven Google solutions tailored to customer needs, leveraging in-depth knowledge of Google’s advertising offerings and compelling storytelling, while effectively navigating objections to secure investment and exceed revenue sales targets
- Demonstrate Google’s value by measuring campaign results against customer objectives and sharing data-driven insights that shape customer strategies and reinforce the partnership
- Own the customer’s growth trajectory by proactively identifying and cultivating a robust pipeline of new opportunities, leveraging insights and proven success to expand the partnership
Requirements / Skills
The ideal candidate brings over a decade of experience in advertising sales, marketing, or media, with a demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders and close complex deals. - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 11 years of experience in advertising sales, marketing, consulting, media, or working with advertising agencies

- Business acumen to strategically assess and help solve client needs at an executive level
