About the Role: Senior Account Manager, LCS, Retail

As a Senior Account Manager on the LCS Retail team, your core mandate is to act as a strategic partner to large advertisers. You’ll lead high-stakes conversations with senior client stakeholders, uncover their marketing goals, and translate those into actionable campaign strategies built on Google’s advertising platforms. The role demands equal parts analytical rigour and persuasive communication — you’re both a data interpreter and a trusted advisor.

Responsibilities

This role sits at the strategic heart of Google’s large customer relationships. Day-to-day, you’ll be driving measurable business outcomes for retail advertisers while managing the full account lifecycle — from initial strategy through campaign execution and performance reporting. Here’s what the work looks like in practice:

  • Lead strategic client meetings to engage and influence key customer stakeholders, uncovering marketing goals and Key Performance Indicators
  • Translate business objectives into actionable campaign strategies aligned with each advertiser’s ambitions
  • Drive exceptional campaign results, quantify business impact, and demonstrate value to customers while maintaining account hygiene
  • Build and pitch data-driven solutions that maximise customer value through Google’s advertising solutions, handle objections, and achieve sales growth targets
  • Analyse campaign data to ensure performance is accurately tracked and measurable results are delivered in line with customer objectives
  • Monitor performance data to extract key insights, identifying and cultivating qualified opportunities to drive future customer growth and build pipeline

Requirements / Skills

Google is looking for a candidate who brings a strong blend of sales acumen, digital marketing expertise, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.   • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in sales, business development, advertising, account management, marketing, or consulting
  • Experience working with advertisers, agencies, or clients in a professional capacity
  • 3 years managing digital marketing and advertising campaigns and relationships with customers or agencies (preferred)
  • 2 years of project management experience in a complex, matrixed organisation (preferred)
  • 1 year of leadership experience (preferred)
  • Experience with Google Ads, including campaign management, performance advertising, and search/YouTube advertising (preferred)
  • Data and analytics proficiency with a solid understanding of marketing measurement and decision-making (preferred)
