Team Lead, Domestic Execution – Canadian Tire – Mississauga, ON

Canadian Tire Corporation is looking for a Team Lead, Domestic Execution to join its Domestic Transportation Operations team in Mississauga, Ontario. This is a leadership role with real scope — you’ll oversee four distinct operational functions while helping drive the future of transportation technology, automation, and analytics across one of Canada’s largest retail networks.

About the Role: Team Lead, Domestic Execution

In this position, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day leadership of a fast-paced team while simultaneously driving longer-term strategic initiatives. You’ll serve as the business lead for transportation visibility solutions — including the P44 Movement platform — managing adoption, data quality, and stakeholder engagement. Your work will directly influence how freight moves efficiently to stores, distribution centres, and business partners across the country.

Collaboration is central to success in this role. You’ll build and maintain relationships with rail service providers, carriers, and technology partners, and you’ll be expected to step up for cross-functional projects that touch everything from process documentation and requirements gathering to change management and implementation. The team depends on you for coaching, direction, and a culture of accountability and continuous learning.

Benefits and Salary

Canadian Tire offers a broadband salary range of $64,000 to $106,000 CAD annually, with a typical hiring range of $64,000 to $85,000 CAD annually depending on experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Responsibilities

This role spans leadership, operations, analytics, and technology — making it both varied and high-impact. You’ll be accountable for the performance of your team and the health of transportation processes that keep Canadian Tire’s supply chain moving. Here’s what you’ll be doing on a regular basis:

• Lead and develop a team across Inbound Rail Operations, Vendor Services, Business Analysis, and P44 Movement Superuser support through coaching, mentorship, and performance management
• Oversee day-to-day transportation operations to support the efficient movement of inbound freight while maintaining strong service for stores, vendors, carriers, and distribution centres
• Act as the business lead for transportation visibility solutions, including P44 Movement, driving platform adoption, data quality, and continuous improvement
• Build and maintain relationships with rail providers, carriers, vendors, and technology partners to resolve issues and strengthen network performance
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives that simplify, standardize, automate, and optimize transportation and vendor service processes
• Drive AI and automation initiatives to reduce manual effort, improve decision-making, and enhance operational efficiency
• Provide leadership for business analysis activities including process mapping, requirements gathering, testing, implementation, and change management
• Develop operational reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics to deliver actionable insights and support data-driven decisions
• Lead cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives by coordinating stakeholders and resources to meet business objectives

Requirements / Skills

• Proven leadership experience with a genuine passion for coaching and developing high-performing teams
• Strong knowledge of supply chain, transportation, logistics, rail operations, or vendor management
• Experience with transportation visibility platforms, transportation management systems, or operational technology solutions
• Demonstrated success leading process improvement, operational excellence, or transformation initiatives
• Business analysis experience including project delivery, process documentation, requirements gathering, testing, and implementation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools; experience with Power BI, P44 Movement, or automation/AI tools is an asset
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
