About the Role: Business Analyst

This position is a hands-on analytical role with real technical depth. You’ll be working across SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, and enterprise data warehouses, building and maintaining data integration pipelines and ensuring data quality and governance across platforms. On the reporting side, you’ll develop interactive dashboards using tools like Power BI, ThoughtSpot, and Tableau, translating large volumes of transportation and ecommerce data into meaningful business intelligence.

Beyond the technical work, you’ll use Agile project management methodology to drive analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of key initiatives. You’ll collaborate with internal ecommerce and supply chain teams, liaise with external courier partners, and contribute to RFX processes, business reviews, and ongoing development of courier capacity and coverage. Attention to deadlines, process documentation, and change management are all central to how this team operates.

Canadian Tire offers a competitive salary range of $53,000 to $88,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, and other role-specific factors. Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be working across data engineering, analytics, and process improvement in a fast-moving ecommerce and transportation environment. The work spans everything from building pipelines and dashboards to facilitating business reviews and leading change initiatives — making strong technical and communication skills equally important.

  • Lead data migration initiatives, transitioning data from SQL Server environments to enterprise data warehouses such as IHUB, with scalable and analytics-ready models
  • Design and implement data integration pipelines across multiple platforms including SQL Server, Oracle, IHUB, Snowflake, and enterprise data warehouses
  • Ensure data quality and governance by enabling seamless access across systems while maintaining consistency and compliance
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI, ThoughtSpot, and Tableau
  • Apply Agile methodology to lead analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of key strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a liaison and change agent to drive efficiencies and better decision-making
  • Map current processes and create simulation models to test and develop improved alternatives
  • Participate in RFX processes and lead regular business reviews and brainstorming sessions
  • Develop and maintain process documentation to support compliance and operational due diligence

Requirements / Skills
