About the Role: Sport Partnerships Consultant
Day to day, the Sport Partnerships Consultant supports relationship management with CTC’s select sport partners, working to maximize return on investment across a diverse portfolio. You’ll collaborate with the Associate Manager, Sports Partnerships to plan and execute strategic season plans and activations, leveraging partner assets to drive business objectives across CTC’s family of retail banners.
This role requires someone who can juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining the attention to detail that strong partnership management demands. You’ll work cross-functionally with teams across the business, communicate with senior stakeholders, and contribute to budget tracking and performance reporting. Benefits and Salary
Canadian Tire offers a broadband salary range of $53,000 – $88,000, with a typical hiring range of $53,000 – $70,000 depending on experience, internal equity, and market factors. Responsibilities
The Sport Partnerships Consultant plays an active role across the full lifecycle of CTC’s sport partnerships — from strategic planning and activation through to measurement and reporting. These responsibilities require someone who is equally comfortable writing a polished stakeholder presentation as they are tracking a sponsorship budget or managing a multi-partner project timeline.
- Support day-to-day relationship management with CTC sport partners to maximize ROI across the portfolio
- Collaborate with the Associate Manager to plan and implement short- and long-term partnership strategies
- Assist in developing and executing plans and programs with cross-functional project teams that meet business objectives
- Understand and interpret contracts, partnership terms, and guidelines
- Provide best-practice guidance and support to teammates and stakeholders executing partnership initiatives
- Track measurements and report progress to evaluate the effectiveness of all partnerships and ensure appropriate ROI
- Lead creative and strategic communications including writing, editing, and presentation development
- Support the tracking of annual Sport Partnerships budgets
Requirements / Skills
The ideal candidate brings a genuine passion for sport at every level — from grassroots to high performance — combined with solid marketing and project management experience. Canadian Tire is looking for someone who is highly organized, a strong communicator, and comfortable working across a large, complex organization with multiple stakeholders and retail banners.
- Post-secondary education in Sports Management, Marketing, Sponsorship, or Event Management
- 3–5 years of proven experience in events, marketing, sponsorship, and/or sports marketing
- Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver programs on time and on budget in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills with proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Collaborative team player with experience building relationships across diverse groups and stakeholders
- Self-starter with the ability to influence without authority and work within a matrix organization
- Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset but is not required
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends on occasion as needed
