Job Summary & Tips for Applying

AI-generated summary and tips to help you highlight your strengths effectively.

Quick Summary & What to Highlight: The Supply Chain Planning Analyst position at Canadian Tire in Mississauga focuses on capacity and production planning within the OPC, requiring both analytical rigour and cross-functional coordination. A candidate should put their analytical and data skills (especially Excel, Power BI, and Access) at the top of their resume, tied directly to capacity planning or supply chain reporting work, and call out any process improvement experience that spans multiple teams or system implementations.

Resume & Application Tips: The posting specifically names MS Access, Excel, Power BI, and Co-pilot, so list each tool you know by name and pair it with what you built or analyzed. If you’ve worked with JDA F&R, PPA, AOM, IMS, or PAL, note that separately as an asset. For the project management side, a concrete example works well, such as: “Led rollout of a new DC reporting process across three cross-functional teams, reducing manual reconciliation time by 30%.” Use that as a format for any similar achievement you can quantify.

Interview Preparation: Come ready with a specific example of a time you managed competing short- and long-term planning objectives, including how you communicated trade-offs to stakeholders at different levels. The posting also emphasizes proactively anticipating operational risks, so prepare a situation where you flagged a barrier before it became a problem and what you recommended. Since the posting does not specify shift requirements, it’s worth confirming the expected on-site schedule and whether there is flexibility around core hours.
