About the Role: Stockperson/Cartpusher

As a Stockperson/Cartpusher at Walmart Canada Woodstock, you’ll be responsible for collecting shopping carts from cart corrals, the parking lot, and the store perimeter, and returning them to designated storage areas using Walmart-approved procedures. You’ll also respond to requests from registers and Customer Service — helping customers with carry-outs, carry-ins, and verifying receipts when needed.

The role also involves facility maintenance duties, including occasional restroom cleaning, safe handling of chemicals, and completing required equipment inspections before use. Following all safety and emergency protocols — including hazardous communication, lockout/tagout, and bloodborne pathogen guidelines — is a core part of this position. You’ll use personal protective equipment including steel-toed footwear and a reflective vest and complete safety sweeps as required.

Responsibilities

This role keeps Walmart’s store operations and customer experience running behind the scenes. From the parking lot to the sales floor, your work directly impacts how customers feel when they walk through the door. Here’s what you’ll be doing on a typical shift:

• Collect and return shopping carts from cart corrals, the parking lot, and store perimeter using Walmart-approved procedures, and ensure required logs are completed accurately
• Respond promptly to requests from all registers and Customer Service, including assisting customers with carry-outs, carry-ins, and verifying receipts for proof of purchase when required
• Perform cleaning and maintenance duties, including restrooms, following established guidelines for chemical handling, proper disposal, and safe use of power equipment
• Complete equipment inspections before use and adhere to all safety and emergency protocols, including hazardous communication, lockout/tagout, and bloodborne pathogen guidelines
• Use personal protective equipment including steel-toed footwear and a reflective vest, and complete safety sweeps as required
• Handle physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory or equipment weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs
