Responsibilities
Day-to-day, you’ll be keeping FedEx’s delivery fleet in top operational condition. Your work directly supports on-time deliveries across the region, making the maintenance and reliability of each vehicle a critical part of FedEx’s service promise to customers.
- Perform preventative maintenance on FedEx’s vehicle fleet and ground support equipment to keep assets in safe, working order
- Troubleshoot and repair gasoline, diesel, and hydraulically powered vehicles using diagnostic testing equipment, gauges, and tools
- Utilize diagnostic software such as JPRO® Professional, Allison DOC® Fleets, Cummins Insite Professional, Ford IDS w/VCM-2, Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link, and Mercedes-Benz systems
- Perform vehicle modifications as required and maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair work completed
- Apply welding skills when needed, following all applicable safety procedures
- Lift and manoeuvre heavy vehicle components up to 70 lbs independently, and heavier components using appropriate mechanical assistance
- Complete required training and maintain all annual accreditations and recurrence certifications as required by FedEx policy
Requirements / Skills
