About the Role: Seasonal Package Handler Non-Driver
As a Seasonal Package Handler at the 550 Second Line East location in Sault Ste Marie, your core responsibility is to move freight efficiently and accurately through the facility. That means loading and unloading packages, using scanning equipment to track shipments, and sorting parcels to the correct destinations — all within a structured, time-sensitive environment.
This is a temporary position of up to 12 weeks based on business needs. You’ll be expected to complete all required training, follow FedEx operational procedures, and work collaboratively with your team to hit daily throughput targets. Physical capability is essential — the role requires the ability to lift up to 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.
Benefits and Salary
The pay rate for this position is $20.86 per hour. Two shift options are available: Shift 1 runs Monday to Friday from 6:45–9:45 a.m., and Shift 2 runs Tuesday to Saturday from 11:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Candidates must be available to work on Saturdays. As a seasonal role, this position provides a structured opportunity to gain experience within a major logistics operation.

Responsibilities

Requirements / Skills

- High School Diploma or GED preferred

- Ability to successfully complete all basic and recurrency training as required
