Sr Financial Payroll Expert – DHL – Brampton, ON
Location: Brampton, ON | Company: DHL
DHL Express Canada is looking for a seasoned Sr. Financial Payroll Expert to join their National Office in Brampton, Ontario. As the world’s #1 Express Delivery and Logistics Company, DHL operates at a scale that demands payroll professionals who can handle complexity — and this role is no exception. If you have deep experience managing payroll in a unionized, federally regulated environment, this could be a strong fit.
This position sits at the heart of DHL Canada’s payroll operations, overseeing end-to-end payroll processing for hourly employees, salaried staff, and owner-operators across the country. You’ll bring together leadership, compliance expertise, and advanced technical skills in Kronos and ADP to keep payroll running accurately and on time for a complex, multi-group workforce.
About the Role: Sr Financial Payroll Expert
In this senior-level position, you’ll provide direct people leadership to the payroll team — coaching, mentoring, and setting priorities — while personally overseeing bi-weekly payroll processing and reconciliations. You’ll act as the escalation point for complex payroll issues and ensure all activities align with the Canada Labour Code (CLC), collective agreements, and applicable federal and provincial legislation.
Beyond day-to-day processing, you’ll own audit readiness, statutory remittances, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll collaborate closely with Finance, Tax, and Labour Relations, and serve as the internal subject-matter expert for payroll inquiries from supervisors and people managers. Process automation and system optimization across ADP Workforce Now and UKG Workforce Dimensions are also key aspects of this role.
Benefits and Salary
DHL offers competitive compensation packages along with a range of programs, services, and benefits designed to support employees both professionally and personally.
