Responsibilities
The Service Deli Clerk at Costco Laval handles a wide variety of food prep and kitchen tasks daily. From cooking and assembling meals to maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace, each responsibility plays a direct role in the quality and consistency that Costco members expect.
- Prepare and cook rotisserie chickens, ribs, and entrees using commercial and rotisserie ovens
- Assemble take-and-bake pizzas, party trays, salads, and full meals following Costco’s formulas and diagrams
- Slice and prep vegetables for salads, entrees, and garnishes on prepared foods
- Package, wrap, weigh, and label products using an automated wrapping machine
- Stock and rotate the display case to maintain freshness and presentation standards
- Monitor quality and consistency of finished products to meet department standards
- Comply with health codes including sanitation protocols, temperature monitoring, and pull dates
- Clean and sanitize all equipment, surfaces, and the deli area by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and disassembling machinery as required
- Document production on daily forms, record time and temperature logs, and complete sanitation checklists
- Provide courteous member service and assist in other areas of the department or warehouse as needed
