Service Deli Clerk – Costco – Brampton, ON

Brampton’s Costco location on Biscayne Crescent is looking for a Service Deli Clerk to join their Service Deli department. About the Role: Service Deli Clerk

As a Service Deli Clerk, you’ll be responsible for preparing, packaging, and presenting a variety of ready-to-eat and take-and-bake items — including salads, entrees, rotisserie chickens, ribs, and pizzas. You’ll follow Costco’s established formulas and quality standards to make sure every product leaving the department meets the mark.

Maintaining food safety compliance is a core part of this role. You’ll monitor temperatures, respect pull dates, and follow all sanitation protocols. Teamwork is essential — you’ll collaborate with colleagues to keep the deli running smoothly and step in to support other areas of the department when needed.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day work in the Service Deli is varied and physical. You’ll move between food preparation, cooking, packaging, and cleaning tasks throughout your shift — all while upholding Costco’s quality and safety standards.

• Prepare and cook rotisserie chickens, ribs, and entrees using commercial and rotisserie ovens
• Assemble take-and-bake pizzas, party trays, salads, and meal entrees according to Costco formulas and diagrams
• Slice vegetables for salads, entrees, and garnish on prepared food items
• Package, wrap, seal, weigh, and label products using an automated wrapping machine
• Stock and rotate the display case to ensure freshness and visual standards are maintained
• Monitor finished products for consistency and quality, and comply with health codes including sanitation, temperatures, and pull dates
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment; clean and sanitize using a 3-compartment sink or power soak sink
• Clean the deli area by sweeping, mopping, spraying, wiping, and scrubbing; empty drain screens, operate trash compactor and cardboard bailer
• Complete documentation including daily production forms, time and temperature records, and sanitation checklists
• Provide prompt and courteous service to Costco members at all times

Requirements / Skills

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Food Safety Certification – Level 1 required by the first day in the position
• No prior experience required — training is provided on Costco-specific methods and procedures

• Physical stamina to handle a hands-on role that involves standing, lifting, and working in varying temperatures
• French language skills (oral and written) required for candidates applying to Quebec locations
