About the Role: Deli Clerk

As a Deli Clerk at Loblaws Markham, your primary focus is on delivering a positive in-store shopping experience. You’ll be responsible for maintaining product availability, ensuring displays are properly set up, and keeping the department tidy and compliant with health and safety standards. You’ll also play an active role in accurate product scanning and identifying inventory needs.

• Provide great customer service by ensuring shelves are stocked and responding to customer needs in a courteous and resourceful manner
• Maintain and stock product displays and shelves in accordance with company standards
• Ensure accurate product scanning and identify inventory needs, assisting with ordering as required
• Set up company-directed promotions and programs as instructed
• Keep department areas neat and uphold health and safety standards at all times

Requirements / Skills

Loblaws is looking for someone who is dependable, motivated, and customer-focused. You don’t need prior experience — full training is provided — but the right attitude and work ethic go a long way. The ideal candidate is comfortable being on their feet, handling physical tasks, and adapting to varying shift schedules.
