About the Role: Security Sales Specialist II, Google Cloud Fraud Defense

Day to day, you’ll be working alongside Customer Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and Channel teams to develop go-to-market strategies and drive pipeline growth. You’ll manage multiple accounts simultaneously, understanding each customer’s unique technology footprint, growth plans, and business drivers — and demonstrating how Google Cloud technologies can unlock transformation at scale.

This role requires a high level of autonomy and accountability. You’ll be responsible for forecasting and reporting on your territory’s business, constructing and executing effective territory development plans, and maintaining long-term executive-level relationships. Collaboration across internal and external teams — including procurement and legal — is central to how deals get done here.

Responsibilities

As a Security Sales Specialist at Google Cloud, your work centres on building trust with enterprise clients and driving meaningful business outcomes. You’ll navigate complex sales environments, align cross-functional teams, and be directly accountable for the growth of your assigned territory.

  • Build relationships with customers as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor, managing complex business cycles and influencing long-term strategic direction of accounts
  • Deliver against quota and achieve or exceed strategic business and growth goals while forecasting and reporting on your territory’s performance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Google account teams, Customer Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Channel partners to develop go-to-market strategies
  • Construct and execute an effective territory development plan tailored to the enterprise cybersecurity landscape
  • Manage multiple accounts simultaneously, understanding each customer’s technology footprint, strategy, growth plans, and business drivers
  • Identify innovative ways to multiply your impact and the impact of the team as a whole to drive overall value for Google Cloud
  • Facilitate agreements by working with internal and external teams including procurement and legal to build business cases and implementation plans

Requirements / Skills

Google is looking for a seasoned enterprise sales professional with a strong background in cybersecurity or cloud software. You’ll need the experience and confidence to manage long-cycle, high-value deals and the strategic mindset to develop territories from the ground up.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 7 years of experience in a sales role within the enterprise software or cloud space
  • Experience selling to enterprise clients in the cybersecurity or IT sector
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
  • Fluent English communication skills to support client relationship management in this region
  • Proven track record of carrying and exceeding strategic business goals in a sales role (preferred)
  • Experience developing territories and executive relationships from scratch, while ensuring customer success and expansion (preferred)
  • Knowledge of market trends in cloud and cybersecurity, including relevant products and solutions (preferred)
