About the Role: Seasonal Package Handler Non-Driver

The core of this position revolves around loading and unloading freight, as well as scanning and sorting packages within the FedEx facility. It’s physical, fast-paced work that requires focus, reliability, and the ability to handle packages safely and efficiently. You’ll be working alongside a team to ensure freight is processed correctly and on time.

This is a temporary position of up to 12 weeks, based on business and operational needs. Employees are expected to complete all required basic and recurrency training, operate within a PC Windows environment, and adapt to varying shift requirements as needed. If you reside in Quebec, bilingualism in French and English is required.

Responsibilities

As a Seasonal Package Handler, your day-to-day work keeps the FedEx supply chain running smoothly. Each task — from unloading inbound trailers to scanning and sorting outbound freight — directly affects on-time delivery performance for customers across Canada.

• Load and unload freight from trailers and transport vehicles within the facility
• Manoeuvre packages weighing up to 70 lbs independently, and up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
• Complete all required training, including basic onboarding and recurrency modules, to maintain safety and compliance standards
• Operate within a PC Windows environment as required for scanning and documentation tasks
• Adapt to varying shift requirements based on business and operational needs throughout the seasonal period

Requirements / Skills

• High School Diploma or GED — preferred but not mandatory
• Physical fitness — must be able to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
• Interpersonal skills — good communication and the ability to work collaboratively with a facility team
• FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations knowledge — preferred
• Ability to complete all mandatory training and meet minimum thresholds on any required assessments
• Bilingualism (French and English) — required for candidates residing in the province of Quebec
