FedEx Canada is hiring a Seasonal Package Handler (Non-Driver) at its Belleville, Ontario facility. Working inside the FedEx facility at 634 College Street East, you’ll be part of a crew responsible for keeping shipments sorted, scanned, and loaded on time. It’s physical, hands-on work that plays a direct role in the daily operations of package handling and freight processing.

About the Role: Seasonal Package Handler Non-Driver

This position centres on the core tasks of loading, unloading, scanning, and sorting freight within the facility. Every shift, you’ll be working alongside a team to ensure packages are processed accurately and efficiently. The role is seasonal and temporary, running up to 12 weeks, with an earliest start date of October 11, 2026.

Two shift options are available: Shift 1 runs Monday to Sunday from 3:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., and Shift 2 runs Monday to Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Candidates should be prepared to work varying shifts based on business needs. You’ll also be expected to complete all required basic and recurrency training and maintain any applicable accreditations.

Responsibilities

Day to day, this role keeps the FedEx Belleville facility running smoothly. Every package that moves through the building depends on the accuracy and efficiency of the package handling team — making this work genuinely important to the broader logistics chain.

• Load and unload freight as it moves through the facility
• Scan and sort packages to ensure accurate routing and delivery
• Maneuver freight weighing up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment
• Complete all required basic and recurrency training to maintain operational standards
• Operate in a PC Windows environment as required
• Work varying shifts based on business needs across both available shift windows

Requirements / Skills

FedEx is looking for dependable candidates who can handle a physically demanding, fast-paced warehouse environment.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is an asset (preferred)
• Good interpersonal skills for working effectively with teammates and supervisors
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
• Ability to complete all mandatory testing and training including recurrency training requirements
• Bilingual in French and English required if residing in the province of Quebec
