Responsibilities
Working on the warehouse floor at FedEx means keeping freight flowing accurately and on time. Every shift, your actions directly contribute to on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction across the network. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:
- Load and unload freight from trailers and vehicles efficiently and safely
- Scan and sort packages according to FedEx routing and delivery standards
- Transport freight within and between facilities using appropriate equipment
- Handle packages weighing up to 70 lbs individually, and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs with proper equipment
- Complete all required basic and recurrency training and maintain any applicable annual accreditations
- Operate in a PC Windows environment as needed for scanning and documentation tasks
- Adapt to varying shifts based on business needs and maintain Saturday availability
Requirements / Skills
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Valid full driver’s licence with a good driving record (two or fewer violations/accidents in the past 24 months)
- Physical capability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs with equipment
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Familiarity with FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is an asset
- Bilingualism (French and English) required for candidates residing in Quebec
- Ability to pass mandatory testing and training requirements
